SANGUIGNO VALLEY – Day Hike – Level EASY or MEDIUM 2000 1333 TrekMI

Val Sanguigno is the valley of water. An unspoiled natural paradise crossed in all its lenght by the stream of the same name which, gathering numerous tributaries, creates waterfalls and crystalline pools. A valley to go through without a precise destination, simply enjoying the hike and the luxuriance of nature, in one of the best environments that the Orobic mountains can offer. The valley is home to different types of vegetation, some of which are endemic to this area. Of particular interest are the peat bogs that carachterize the higher plateau which can be reached covering a difference in altitude of 600 metres (1,968 ft). Nestled half way along the valley the Gianpace Hut serves delicious traditional food.
