COMO, BELLAGIO & VARENNA – Day Tour by Boat and Train

COMO, BELLAGIO & VARENNA – Day Tour by Boat and Train 1408 925 TrekMI

A memorable tour to discover the three branches of Lake Como and its most celebrated highlights. From Milan we catch a train to the city of Como (1h), our gate to the enchanting blue water of this world-famous lake. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, the city of Como hides some great works of art and architecture. After walking around the medieval town, we hop on a boat to enjoy a cruise (2h) along the most popular branch of the lake in direction of Bellagio. An impressive concentration of villas (including George Clooney’s!) and luxury hotels will keep your eyes busy looking around while listening to all the stories that this most elegant branch of the lake has to tell.

Bellagio is as beautiful as you imagine it, with its picture-perfect cobbled lanes, colorful houses and botanical gardens. Located at the end of the peninsula that separates the two southern branches and overlooks the northern one, Bellagio is the perfect setting for a traditional lunch with lake view! After a good meal and a stroll around, we catch a ferry (15 min) to Varenna. Loved by many, this tiny little village and its relaxing lakefront walk are the ideal end for an unforgettable day on Lake Como. From Varenna to Milan (1h) we travel again by train, this time enjoying the view over the southern-eastern branch.
